Engine 3 of 5

Email Validator

It tests each address against the mail server that would receive it, then tells you which one to write to and which one is most likely to arrive.

Why it matters

Sending to dead addresses is the fastest way to get your own mailbox restricted. Mail providers watch how many of your messages bounce, and a bad run can quietly damage everything you send afterwards — including mail that has nothing to do with outreach.

What you give it

A prospect and up to three addresses, one per line:

  • exampleblog.com, editor@exampleblog.com, info@exampleblog.com, guestpost@exampleblog.com
  • Commas or tabs, so a block copied straight out of a spreadsheet works
  • One address is enough. You do not need three

What comes back

Two picks per prospect, and they are not the same question:

  • Best for outreach — the address most likely to be read by an editor. An editorial or named address beats a general one
  • Reliable delivery — the address least likely to bounce
  • They are often the same address, and that is a good sign, not a fault

How it judges an address

It checks the domain really exists and can receive mail at all, then looks at the address itself: whether it is a throwaway inbox, a shared department queue, a placeholder, or a real person's address. Each verdict comes with a plain-English reason, and the downloaded CSV carries the full reasoning rather than a bare score.

Results from the Crawler arrive here too

If you ticked the option in the Email Crawler, its addresses land on this page under Sent from Crawler, kept separate from anything you typed yourself, with its own table and its own CSV.

What it costs

1 credit per prospect, however many addresses that prospect holds. A prospect with no address at all is free — it is dropped before anything is charged.
